INTRO TO REVIVAL We stood up on two legs And raised our heads above golden grass He was there We sharpened stone and steel Used tools to harvest grass, beast and brother He was there We clustered together In brick and mud swarming with rats and plague He was there We built nations and mistrust Our fingers hovered over the red button He smiled Still we build To rise above the golden grass Away from the reach of his scythe When he will harvest no more ---

UNDYING MYSTERY So cold So cold out here You can't see us You don't know just how long We've been watching We've been waiting Now the time has come And you'll wish you never knew Our true meaning You won't forget our names You will find our graves And all will remember And regret The lost will be carried away Only to return once again The darkness of this mystery Is undying So old So old your fear You can feel us And you know when you're alone We are with you Our arms around you And noone will come We are taking some of you Away with us And you will cry our names You who made our graves And all will remember And regret At night we were carried away Now we have returned once again The darkness of our mystery Is undying You won't forget our names You will find our graves And all will remember And regret So cold So cold out here You will be us You will long for the ones You are watching Love them with loathing And the time will come When you must reveal Your true meaning They won't forget our names We will haunt their graves And all will remember And regret At night they were carried away Now they have returned once again The darkness of this mystery Is undying The lost will be carried away Only to return once again The darkness of our mystery Is undying ---

CUMULUS CROWN Sing a hymn to the ascender Who sits aloft, wrapped in splendor now You were made that you may never know Blood bought children, helpless rendered In our folly we will feed the ground Garden made of graves still grows Altogether we could never comtemplate the splendor of the Cumulus Crown - Resting on his head Cumulus Crown - Mine are thorns instead Cumulus Crown - Rests upon his head Cumulus Crown - Mine are thorns Mine are thorns instead Although justice be thy plea Through course of justice, none should see Salvation, neither you nor me Cirrus thoughts fall short forever To bridge the gap between the earth and sky Atone for us despite the lie For it is I, a meek offender Who brought a hammer down into the nail To trade for life that never dies Sing a hymn to the ascender Who sits aloft, wrapped in splendor now You were made that you may never know Sewn together with forever making up the halo of a Cumulus Crown ---

Etiainen 03:26
ETIAINEN Winds will come and rain will fall Dare to tread no further now Desperately we cling to dust In the rot we put our trust Every idol bound to fall off the altar... The sacrifice crawls The sacrifice crawls Sorrow sentry chase the wind In the end you will begin To grieve the pain of your decay The thought that life got in our way The sound of mocking breeze does call Oh how quickly... Your house of cards falls Your house of cards falls Oh, Etiainen - Follows me Home, Etiainen - Follows me Home, Etiainen - Follows me Home, Etiainen - Swallows me Gone in search of many schemes Weaving fabric of our lives Where the fact and fiction clash Works forgotten in our past The age of Tempus' voice stands tall Still the stones cry out... Your echoes still call Your echoes still call ---

Condemned 03:18
CONDEMNED This is a place Of hopelessness and fear And I don't think we're getting out of here The light is dim The path is overgrown Where we've ended at noone could know Reasons why sadly fade Who we were slips away Shadows roam These old deserted roads Searching for the light that let them go The secret sealed Hidden in archaic art Memories of strangers digging deep graves in the dark Distant cries on the wind Silence suffocates again Abandoned love and loss of will Has left us in the burning fields Has cast our bodies to the soil Condemned to live A death that never ends No forgiveness granted for our sins The emptiness Stretches on and on Our names are long forgotten now, the need for them has gone Reasons why sadly fade Who we were slips away Abandoned love and loss of will Has left us in the burning fields Has cast our bodies to the soil This is a place Of hopelessness and fear And I don't think we're getting out of here

A MESSAGE FROM ABSALOM (instrumental) Let it go. ---

about

"January 2nd. The beginning of a new year. And the day when the dead returned to life. Twenty Three residents of Wausau, a small town in rural central Wisconsin suddenly walked off the slab, better than ever, free of disease and the effects of old age. And no one knows why. Dubbed ‘Revival Day,” the event put Wausau under siege from Federal Agents, the CDC, and from religious pilgrims believing the Rapture had begun.

Now quarantined from the rest of the world, the citizens of Wausau deal with the ticking pressure cooker of an entire town facing cabin fever, an uneasiness about their newly resurrected friends and neighbors and sightings of bizarre creatures in the fields and forests that surround the city."

That's the setup for the comic book series REVIVAL, coming from IMAGE comics in July 2012.

This album is a soundtrack loosely inspired by it.
